About Property

This very tastefully renovated 120+ year old three-bedroom village house is situated on a 1,200 sqm plot. The renovation was completed in 2006 and the 111 sqm home now includes wood-beam ceilings, stone arches, rendered stone walls, wooden staircase, wood-beam lintels, and more. The garden area is well maintained and includes eight olive trees and a variety of fruit trees.

Entry to the home is from the large front terrace with its beautiful and forever unobstructed mountain and countryside great. The open plan kitchen and dining area has a high vaulted wooden ceiling and the traditional kitchen has plenty of storage space. With the mostly fine Cretan weather we experience throughout the year, the front door is just a divider between indoor and outdoor dining and relaxing!

The master bedroom is also on the upper level as well as a large bathroom with a full bathtub. The bedroom has large built in wardrobes and a private terrace with magnificent views.
A wooden staircase leads down to a charming split—level sitting area with wood beam ceilings and the closed wood burning fireplace. A double bedroom as well as a single bedroom are on this level separated by an arch plus a bathroom with shower.
A doorway from the sitting area leads to the huge covered terrace with with peaceful out over the garden areas and the surrounding countryside. Stone steps lead from this lower-level terrace lead to the garden and is the most pleasant location for a pool or spa.

The owners have an OTE landline connection and fast internet is available.

A truly idyllic home in a traditional village and yet with all the modern conveniences. Just a short walk to the Vafes plateia and only 3 km to Vrysses, a good-sized village with all amenities including supermarket, bank, petrol station, an excellent bakery plus arguably the best cake and sweet shop in the whole of Apokoronas! The tourist hub of Georgioupolis with its long sandy beaches is close by. There is very easy and safe access to the National Road towards both Chania and Rethymnon from Vrysses.

In Greek we use the word "zesto" (meaning warm or hot) in two ways, one refers to the temperature (a warm or hot day) and the other, in reference to a home, means that the home gives a feeling of warmth to the heart. This is truly a "zesto" home!

The selling price is exclusive of property transfer tax, legal expenses and agency fees.
